Meet
Alison
Registered Nurse • Board-Certified Nurse Coach • Certified Personal Trainer • Certified Holistic MLD Practitioner
I’m Alison, a Registered Nurse, Board-Certified Nurse Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Holistic Manual Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner, and founder of Thriving Willow.
For nearly two decades, I’ve worked as a nurse, helping people navigate complex health decisions. I’ve seen the power of good medical care, but I’ve also seen what happens after people leave the clinic or hospital: they still have to figure out how to make those changes work in real life.
My own health experience gave me an even deeper understanding of that.
My own health experience gave me an even deeper understanding of that.
In 2023, I underwent Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG). I still remember sitting on the floor playing with my boys and realizing how difficult it had become to get back up. I wanted to be the kind of mom who could move, play, and keep up with her kids without exhaustion.
Since then, I’ve lost and maintained more than 160 pounds. But what changed most wasn’t simply my size. I gained energy, confidence, and a firsthand understanding of just how physical, emotional, and personal meaningful health change can be.
Today, I bring that experience together with nearly two decades of nursing and professional training to care for the whole person, because your health is never just one thing.
My Story & My Promise to You
I know what it feels like to spend so much time caring for everyone else that your own health keeps getting pushed further down the list. I also know that meaningful change rarely happens because you suddenly become perfect at taking care of yourself.
It happens through small decisions, repeated over time, and with support that actually fits your life.
My promise is to meet you where you are, listen to what you need, and help you figure out what makes sense for you now.
No judgment. No expectation that you arrive with everything figured out. Just thoughtful, personalized support as you take the next step toward feeling better, stronger, and more confident in your health.
Why a Willow?
The willow tree is my personal symbol of resilience and transformation. Willows bend with the wind without breaking. They adapt, root deeply, and continue to grow. That's what I want Thriving Willow to represent: the ability to adapt through change while continuing to move toward a healthier, fuller life.
Our Values
CARE
GROW
THRIVE
At Thriving Willow, we believe lasting transformation comes from balance: caring for yourself deeply, growing intentionally, and thriving with purpose.
CARE reminds us to approach every step with compassion and accountability.
GROW reflects our commitment to progress, resilience, and learning through change.
And THRIVE embodies the strength, confidence, and joy that come when you align your mind, body, and purpose.
Together, these values shape how we care, how we connect, and how we support you in building a healthier life that works for you.
Care With a Whole-Person Perspective
At Thriving Willow, care starts with looking at the bigger picture.
Alison's nursing experience and specialized training bring a clinical, whole-person perspective to every service. Your health history matters. Your goals matter. How you feel in your body matters. And what is realistically sustainable in your everyday life matters.
Whether you're here for coaching, movement, hands-on care, breathwork, or wellness services, you'll receive personalized support based on where you are and what you need.
Because the best care sees the whole person, not just what brought you through the door.
What You Can Expect
At Thriving Willow, you'll be met with personalized care that starts with listening. Your health history, goals, comfort, and individual needs help guide your experience.
You'll have space to ask questions, understand your options, and make informed decisions about what's right for you.

We'll start with where you are and what you need right now.
