Personal Training &
Assisted Stretch
Build strength. Move easier. Feel more at home in your body.
Whether you want to build strength, improve mobility, get back into exercise, recover from your workouts, or simply feel more comfortable and capable in your body, we’ll start with where you are today.
At Thriving Willow, movement isn’t about punishment or sheer willpower. It’s about helping your body become stronger, more mobile, and better prepared for the life you actually live.
Personal Training
Build strength for the life you actually live.
Personal training at Thriving Willow is about much more than burning calories. It’s about building a body that feels strong, capable, and confident.
Sessions are personalized to your fitness level, mobility, health history, and goals. Whether you’re returning to exercise, navigating midlife changes, building strength after weight loss, or simply ready to feel stronger, we’ll create a realistic approach that works for you.
Depending on your goals, training may focus on:

Functional Strength
Build strength that carries into everyday life, from climbing stairs and carrying groceries to keeping up with the people and activities you love.

Muscle Development & Preservation
Build and maintain muscle with an approach appropriate for your current abilities and goals.

Mobility & Balance
Strength isn't just about how much you can lift. Training can also incorporate stability, balance, and movement to support how your body functions.

Low-Impact Exercise
Effective movement doesn't have to mean high-impact workouts. Exercises can be adapted to your current ability and comfort level.

Midlife & Women's Fitness
Your body isn't the same at every stage of life. Your approach to exercise doesn't have to be either.

Confidence With Strength Training
Learn how to perform movements, use equipment, and understand what you're doing instead of feeling like you're supposed to already know.

Sustainable Movement
The goal isn't to create a routine you can tolerate for a few weeks. It's to build an approach to movement that can become part of your life.
Assisted Stretch
Move easier. Feel looser. Restore mobility.
Sometimes your body doesn’t need a harder workout. It needs room to move.
Assisted Stretch provides personalized, hands-on stretching to support flexibility, mobility, and greater ease of movement. You can relax while Alison guides you through stretches based on your mobility, activity level, and goals.
Assisted Stretch may be especially helpful if:
01
You feel tight after workouts.
Give your body intentional time for movement and recovery.
02
You spend a lot of time sitting.
Long hours at a desk, in the car, or in the same positions can leave your body feeling stiff and ready to move.
03
You've noticed your mobility changing.
Maintaining mobility can help you continue moving confidently through everyday life as you age.
04
You want to improve flexibility and range of motion.
Your session can focus on the movements and areas that matter most to you.
05
You simply want to move more comfortably.
You don’t have to be an athlete to care about mobility. Sometimes you just want your body to feel easier to live in.
Strength + Mobility
They Work Pretty Well Together, Too.
Strength and mobility aren’t competing goals.
Building strength can help you feel more capable and confident in your body. Maintaining mobility helps you use that strength through a comfortable, functional range of motion.
You can come to Thriving Willow specifically for Personal Training, Assisted Stretch, or a combination of both based on what your body needs.
You don’t have to choose a program. You can choose what your body needs.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Start Where You Are
You don’t need to be fit enough, flexible enough, or experienced enough before you walk through the door.
Alison will talk with you about your health history, current activity level, mobility, and goals.
From there, your session is built around you.
The Thriving Willow Difference
Movement With a Whole-Person Perspective
Alison brings together her experience as a Registered Nurse, Board-Certified Nurse Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer to approach movement as part of your whole health, not something separate from it.
Your health history, energy, mobility, goals, and what is realistically sustainable in your life all matter.
This isn’t about seeing how hard you can be pushed. It’s about learning how to work with your body so you can become stronger, move more freely, and feel more confident in what it can do.
No punishment. No “starting over.” Just building from where you are today.
Keep Doing the Things You Love.
Strength and mobility affect so much more than exercise. They affect how you move through your day, how you feel in your body, and how confidently you can participate in the life happening around you.
Whether you’re getting back into movement or simply ready to take better care of yourself, you don’t need to have it all figured out.
